Welcome to Vigil Soaps, a small corner of the web dedicated to quality hand-crafted soaps, bath teas, spa soaks, salt and sugar scrubs, milk baths, bath salts, and many other bath items designed to help aid in relaxing your body while caring for your skin! Although our name has changed (formerly Heather's Heavenly Scents), our products, ownership, and level of quality have stayed the same.

Here at Vigil Soaps we try to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and avoid issues of animal cruelty where we can. Many products sold here are completely safe for vegan use as they are free of animal products and are marked as such. We also encourage you to reuse/recycle any plastic or glass containers you receive from us -- we offer refill kits at discounted prices for any plastic or glass containers you receive from us when purchasing items (our milk bath and bath salts are excellent examples).

We are located in New Orleans, LA, and as such may periodically be impacted by extreme weather conditions. Closings or shipping delays due to this will be posted at the top of this page. If you place an order during a time that we are closed it should still get through, and those orders will be top priority for completion and shipping when we reopen. We sincerely apologize for any delays this may cause, and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Our local showings are now over at the Harrison Avenue Marketplace. We enjoyed the Fall season there and hope to return for the Spring season. When we have more information about upcoming appearances, we will post them here on the site. Currently, Vigil Soaps is still partnered with Quetzal Candles in New Orleans, and we will continue to do gift sets and baskets together. "Quetzal's Soaps & Candles" should be returning to the Spring markets in March, and we look forward to seeing you all there!

At this time we only offer shipping via Priority Mail from the United States Postal Service, and only within the United States and its territories. Other countries will be added in time as we figure out the costs and customs issues. Large orders may require additional shipping charges beyond what is posted at check-out. If this is the case, you will be contacted and the charges will be adjusted manually. This measure is being taken to protect the soaps during the shipping process as large orders of decorative soaps being shipped in one package can result in warping or malformation of the bars. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. At this time, we can safely package up to 25 decorative bars per box. We are certain any orders exceeding this number will require additional packaging to protect the quality of the designs, and thus will have additional shipping charges that will be added and charged before the items are shipped.

It can take up to a week for your order to be processed and shipped after you place it; larger orders may take longer and we will contact you if this is the case. Certain items have limited stock due to the time required to make them, if this is the case the amount available will be posted on the page with the appropriate item.

We only accept payments via Paypal, which offers a safe and secure online transaction, keeping your credit card information confidential.
